Power Savings and Efficiency, the Modern Building trade chooses Flexine
Functionality and energy efficiency, cutting edge construction chooses FLEXINE
The innovative and prestigious complex of the new ENI-SAIPEM headquarters in Rome bears the name of Casali. The building complex, which is a restructured factory in reinforced concrete dating to the 80’s, was waterproofed with the innovative Flexine membranes of the Synthetics Geomembrane Division. The project involved three basement floors used as archives, a ground floor used for sales, seven management floors and a two-floor garage. The building was designed by Artechstudio and constructed in energy efficiency class A, focusing on meticulous construction details and the high performance of the accessory and plant levels. More specifically, the geomembrane Flexine ZM was used for the entrance area, which thanks to ponds and green shaded areas that attenuate the microclimate, plays an important bio-climatic function. To save energy, the white high-reflectance solar membrane Re-Flexine VF was laid on the roof to combat the phenomenon of urban heat islands. The scope of the project, which was as ambitious as it was successful, was the redevelopment of the building and urban complex, enhancing the area by using it for modern and environmentally compatible purposes. This goal was achieved in full thanks to the high quality guaranteed by Casali and the expertise of Casali’s Technical Staff who developed the best waterproofing solutions with the TPO membranes of the Flexine range, in line with project specifications.
